Gazpacho Privacy Policy
Last updated November 1, 2026
Gazpacho is a single-player card game made by Ambient Multimedia. This policy explains what the app does with your information. In short: Gazpacho has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and we never ask for your name or email. A few services need a little data to work: Apple (Game Center, iCloud and payments), RevenueCat (to know what you've bought) and Expo (to deliver app updates). Each is described below.
What stays on your device
Your coins, saved table, upgrades, cosmetics and settings are saved on your device and are not sent to us or to anyone else. Your records, achievements, unlocks, Pantry, streak and lessons are saved on your device too, and also in your own iCloud account if you use iCloud (see iCloud, below).
What leaves your device
The app does not connect to any server run by us. Data leaves your device only for these services:
- Expo, to check for and download app updates (see App updates).
- RevenueCat, to show prices and record purchases (see Purchases).
- Apple, for payments, Game Center and iCloud, if you use them.
Like any internet connection, these services can see your device's IP address when the app talks to them.
App updates
Gazpacho can receive small fixes without a full App Store update. To do this, each time the app starts it asks Expo, the company that makes the tools Gazpacho is built with, whether an update is available. The request includes the app's version, your device's platform (iOS), and a random ID that the app creates the first time it runs. That ID stays the same until you delete the app. It isn't linked to your name, email or Apple ID, and it isn't used for advertising or tracking. Expo handles this data under its privacy policy.
Purchases
Gazpacho+ and the cosmetic sets are bought through Apple. Apple handles payment; we never see your name, Apple ID or card. To know what you own, the app uses RevenueCat, a purchase service. The app sends RevenueCat Apple's receipt for your purchases and a random ID made by the app on your device. RevenueCat keeps your purchase history under that ID, which is why Gazpacho's App Store privacy label lists Purchase History as linked to you. The ID isn't connected to your name, email or Apple ID, and it isn't used for advertising or tracking. RevenueCat keeps purchase records under its privacy policy. If you never buy anything, the app only asks RevenueCat for the prices. Restore Purchases in Settings uses the same receipt. To cancel a subscription, use Manage Subscription in Settings or your Apple ID settings.
Sharing your score
When you tap Share after a game, Gazpacho makes a picture of your result and opens the iOS share sheet. You choose where it goes. If you choose Save Image, iOS asks for permission to add it to Photos. Gazpacho only adds that picture and never reads your photo library.
Game Center
If you're signed in to Game Center on your device, Gazpacho posts your scores to Game Center leaderboards and reports the achievements you earn. This goes to Apple under your Game Center account, as described in Apple's Game Center terms and privacy policy, and other players can see your Game Center name and scores. Gazpacho doesn't receive or store your Game Center details. If you're not signed in, nothing is sent.
Reminders
After your first win, Gazpacho asks whether it may send reminders: when the daily challenge and Daily Menu are out, when a streak is about to end, when missions are about to expire, when a Tasting Menu run is waiting, and after a few days away. You get at most one a day, never at night. They are scheduled on your device, not sent from a server. You can turn each one off in Gazpacho's Settings, or all of them in iOS Settings.
Widgets, Live Activity, Apple Watch and Siri
Gazpacho's widgets, Control Center control and Live Activity show today's daily challenge, your streak and your Tasting Menu run. The app shares that with them on your device only. If you have the Apple Watch app, your iPhone sends the same summary straight to your paired watch. Siri and the Shortcuts app can open Gazpacho or read your streak aloud; Gazpacho sends nothing to Apple for this beyond what iOS itself does.
iCloud
If you're signed in to iCloud, Gazpacho keeps your records, achievements, unlocks, Pantry, streak and lessons in step across your devices using iCloud key-value storage. It's stored in your own iCloud account under Apple's terms; we have no access to it. Coins, saved games and settings stay on each device. To stop syncing, turn off iCloud for Gazpacho in iOS Settings.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app deletes everything Gazpacho saved on that device, including the random IDs used for updates and purchases. It does not delete the progress kept in your iCloud account, your Game Center scores and achievements (managed by Apple), or the purchase history RevenueCat keeps so that Restore Purchases keeps working. Reset Progress in Settings clears your progress on this device and, if you use iCloud, the synced copy on your other devices too; Gazpacho+ and sets you bought are kept. To ask us to have your purchase history deleted from RevenueCat, email us; because the ID is random, we may need the order ID from your Apple purchase history to find it.
Who handles your data
Ambient Multimedia is responsible for Gazpacho and decides how its data is used. These services process data for the app, each under its own terms: Apple (App Store payments, Game Center, iCloud, TestFlight), RevenueCat, Inc. (purchase records) and Expo / 650 Industries, Inc. (app updates). Their servers may be outside your country, including in the United States; they rely on the safeguards described in their own privacy policies for international transfers.
Why we use it
We use this data only to run the game you asked for: to deliver updates (our legitimate interest in keeping the app working and secure), to record and restore purchases (to perform the purchase contract), and, if you choose them, Game Center, iCloud and reminders. We don't sell or share data for advertising, and we don't build profiles.
How long it's kept
Data on your device stays until you delete the app or use Reset Progress. The update ID is kept by Expo and the purchase history by RevenueCat for as long as their policies say, or until you ask us to have it deleted. iCloud and Game Center data stay in your Apple account until you remove them there.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU, the UK GDPR, or California law), you can ask to see, correct, export or delete personal data about you, object to or limit how it's used, and complain to your local data protection authority. Most of Gazpacho's data never reaches us, so the quickest way to delete it is in the app or in iOS Settings, as described above. For anything else, email support@ambientmultimedia.com and we'll answer within 30 days.
Beta testing
If you test Gazpacho through Apple's TestFlight, Apple may share crash reports, device details and any feedback you send with us, as described in Apple's TestFlight terms. We use this only to fix problems in the app.
Children
Gazpacho is a general-audience game, and nobody needs to give a name, email or age to play. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. The random IDs described above work the same way for every player and are never used to identify, contact or advertise to anyone.
Changes
If a future version adds features that use data, such as online leaderboards, cloud saves or multiplayer, we will update this policy before that version is released and change the date above.
